My most respected father, guru and guide taught me the importance of positive thoughts and valuable lesson like ‘never give up’.
It was my mother who taught me precious lesson of my life i.e. ‘to be kind to everyone’.
Whenever possible she tried to give illustrations and real life lessons behind her teachings. I lost my mother in 2004, but I feel she’s still with me–guiding & inspiring.
My parents changed my way of thinking and I started realizing the power of positive thinking.
MY FAVOURITE THINKER- SWAMI VIVEKANAND
Well, my favourite thinker is “Swami Vivekananda:” He was a trailblazer of rational thought. ‘Arise, Awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.’ This inspiring statement is important in my life. According to Vivekananda, all religions are different paths of reaching the same almighty.
MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR- MUNSHI PREMCHAND
Without any argument, Munshi Premchand was the pioneer of modern Hindi and Urdu social fiction. He is rightly called the ‘Father of Hindi fiction’, one of the best creators of the art of fiction writing with social cause. He was not only a great writer but also a social reformer and thinker.
MY FAVOURITE POET- HARIVANSH RAI BACHCHAN
Harivansh Rai Bachchan needs no introduction; he was a great Indian poet who has given many famous writings to the country. Here, I am quoting some of my favourite poems written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
LAHRON SE DARKAR NAUKA KABHI PAAR NAHI HOTI
KOSHISH KARNE WALON KI KABHI HAAR NAHI HOTI
"TU NA THAKEGA KABHI, TU NA THAMEGA KABHI, TU NA MUDEGA KABHI. KAR SHAPATH! KAR SHAPATH! KAR SHAPATH! AGNEEPATH! AGNEEPATH! AGNEEPATH!"
